This week Homify has counted on us again for one of its reports consisting of bathroom designs. In this case it is a comprehensive renovation of an old home in the historic center of Burgos, where one of the bathrooms was designed at the whim of the owner.
The bathroom is a room where a high-gloss black tile in 15 by 15 format was used to cover the walls and a 30 by 30 matte black and white floor was placed on the floor, resembling a checkerboard, thus achieving a «vintage». To reinforce this atmosphere, an old coquette was recovered, which was completely restored, in Burgos in "La Pata Coja". Respecting its original appearance but using a dusty pink color, finally adding a countertop sink that provided a more modern touch to the furniture. Accessories such as the lamp with a pleated flower fabric lampshade and white wrought iron foot, along with the mirror that was also restored, replacing the old moon with a new one. And by enamelling the frame to match the color of the furniture, but always respecting its antique appearance, they helped create a more welcoming atmosphere in the bathroom.
And finally we cannot stop talking about the spectacular free-standing metal bathtub with carved legs and classic-style taps that, due to its large size, allow us to enjoy a peaceful and restorative bath. We thus fulfilled the owner's dream when renovating her home. The whole set creates a romantic atmosphere in the bathroom that invites you to use and enjoy the room.
