COLOR ITS IMPORTANCE IN OUR LIVES.

Have you stopped to think about the importance that color has in our lives? If we consult the definition of color on Wikipedia we find this: “Color is the impression produced by a tone of light in the visual organs, or more accurately it is a visual perception that is generated in the brain of humans and other animals when interpret the nerve signals sent by the photoreceptors in the retina of the eye, which in turn interpret and distinguish the different wavelengths that they capture from the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum.”

HOW COLOR INFLUENCES US

Since we wake up, color has been influencing us; Whether the day is bright or cloudy and dark can make our mood different. You continue with the day and now it's time to decide what clothes to wear; If you are having a low day, you will probably opt for dark colors, while if you feel optimistic because it is a sunny day, you will decide to wear clothes in light and cheerful colors.

Historically black has been identified with mourning; white with girlfriends, red with passion... Many times the colors are what represent a company; Coca-Cola red, Facebook blue and other times the flags; the red cross, the white flag of peace or the multicolored one of the homosexual movement.

COLORS THAT IDENTIFY A COMPANY.

This is how the positive (light) and the negative (dark) coexist. We then talk about colors having a hot and cold character, they have positive qualities (shades) and negative qualities (shades) and of course colors transmit information. Colors can be classified as primary (yellow, red and blue) and secondary (orange, green and violet).

THE GREAT VARIETY COLOR

So when we choose to paint the wall of a room in one color or another, we are thinking about how it will be combined with other elements that we want to have in the room and the colors will be different if it is a baby's room, a teenager's room or a living room. .

Each decoration style has a characteristic range of colors. Thus, in the classic style, magenta, green, dark red and brown colors prevail. In the ethnic style, the colors are warmer, yellow and orange. The romantic style is associated with pastel colors and in the current Nordic style the color white prevails.

When we do not identify with a single decoration style but rather our idea of decoration is somewhat eclectic and we think more about the mixture of styles, we look for a color for a space that represents what that place means to us or the use that it is intended for. is going to give to that room. A bedroom is not the same as a library or an urban terrace.

It is also important to take into account the dimensions of the space to be decorated and its natural light; Did you know that dark shades visually distance the walls, creating depth, in the same way that light colors bring the walls closer. So by combining the brightest colors with the neutral ones, dark colors are used in large rooms and light colors are used to enhance the luminosity and spaciousness of the room. Color can make the room smaller or larger or give it more or less light.

In decoration, the use of colors in a harmonious whole, not only the color of the walls but also the furniture, the cushions, the rugs, the curtains...

This is where we find what is known in decoration as the 6:3:1 rule, which consists of maintaining the color proportion; Thus we first choose a dominant color, then another color that we use as a secondary color to paint a wall, choosing the color of the comforter or the sofa upholstery and finally a color that would be the one we use for the details such as cushions, vases, frames...

In the end what you have to achieve is a comfortable home that transmits well-being and that is achieved thanks to the harmony of the colors, make the colors flood your home and enjoy it to the fullest.
