Today we woke up to this wonderful report that Homify dedicated to us in its entirety and which consists of the renovation of an attic.
Our clients wanted to move their bedroom to the attic of their single-family home, located in a town very close to Burgos. The only use this space had was to store junk and with this renovation what they managed to do was make the most of the attic, creating a very cozy and very useful space. The attic was divided to create different environments, a bedroom, an area study, a bathroom.
In the sleeping area, space was taken advantage of, with custom cabinets that were the perfect storage solution and turned out to be a key element of the work. The wallpaper, used as a headboard, became what really differentiated the bedroom, becoming another element of the decoration, thus personalizing the bedroom. In terms of clarity, the greatest possible benefit was obtained from natural light, since on one side a side window was respected, which was dressed with a thin light-colored curtain blind and on the other side of the bedroom, I took advantage of the light that came from the staircase by opening a hole in the plasterboard that was closed with a glass decorated with a vinyl, in this case the clients chose to decorate it with some birds.
The study was located under the velux so clarity was assured and to achieve order, some shelves were also made to measure, as were the bedroom closets.
The bathroom was located between the study and the bedroom and despite being an attic space, the greatest comfort and practicality was guaranteed. Different storage solutions were achieved, on the one hand a built-in wardrobe camouflaged between the white tiling and a vanity unit for everyday products. The bathroom also has a comfortable shower that includes a radiator that acts as a towel rack.
With all this, the objective of our clients was achieved, which was to make the attic useful and discover the space that the home itself already had.
