Under the concept of closets, we group all the furniture intended to house or store clothes, objects and elements of all kinds used in a home.

The more closets there are in a home, the more it will help to keep everything in its place. The creation of a sufficient number of well-distributed closets will provide good order and cleanliness to the home and in turn this will make the decoration of the house shine more.

The wardrobe stores all the bedding from the bedroom itself and all the wardrobe of its occupants, for which it needs a good interior layout. The number and size of its divisions and elements must be decided after a thoughtful analysis of real needs. Without forgetting the possible subsequent increase in these so as not to waste any space.

All bedrooms in a home must have a wardrobe and to make the best use of it, it is very important to divide the interior according to the size of what you want to store and thus not waste any useful space. This good interior distribution is achieved with a wide variety of accessories that today we can find for this, for example shelves, drawers, trays, hanging bars...

Bars: The ideal is to place them at a comfortable height to be able to reach the hangers and according to the clothes that are going to be placed so that they do not wrinkle. Long dresses usually need a space of 1.30-1.50 m high while skirts and pants 90 cm is sufficient. Shirts and jackets: 1.10 m. It is also important that each garment is on a suitable hanger, so that it does not wrinkle and thus save space.

Trousers: The pants can also go in the removable trouser accessory. In a space of 40 x 60 x 70 cm a trouser rack can be installed and 10-12 pants can fit.

Shelves: They are ideal for thick sweaters and should be 30 cm apart from each other. Otherwise, piles of clothes will cause a garment to fall when you take it out.

Drawers: low height (10 cm) would be for accessories such as belts, ties, glasses or jewelry; up to 25-30 cm for t-shirts.

The divisions of a closet mark its price in the case of custom closets. The cheapest finish is melanin.

Built-in wardrobes in new construction are usually built without internal divisions of any kind so that the tenant or buyer of the apartment can later attach them according to their needs and tastes. On the other hand, when it comes to a renovation project, since it is a more personalized job, it is usually carried out with the divisions that the client considers. This clearly indicates the great importance that this interior distribution has for the maximum use of the total capacity of the cabinet.

A suitable location for each item of clothing or object makes life easier for each and every member of the family.

In older homes, it is rare for built-in wardrobes to be already installed, which is why it will have to be created. To do this, it will be necessary to take advantage of the possibilities and characteristics that the rooms present: setbacks in the walls, unused hallway ends, condemned old doors, spaces under the stairs, spaces above the false ceilings, etc.

For example, you can organize a children's room around a closet accessible from both sides or separate the dressing area from the rest of the room and create your own personal space.

The dressing room gives its name to an area located next to the bedroom. It can be a room or a free space in which the wardrobes are arranged with a free area to get dressed.

Sometimes, to save space, cabinets can be equipped with sliding doors. A good idea is to add mirrors to the closet doors. This achieves light and spaciousness in the room.

You can open the closet completely by removing the doors, but this case is only for when the person is organized and everything is perfectly organized. Another option would be to open it only partially.

You can hide the closet by integrating it into the decoration, using the same wallpaper or vinyl.

The design of the closet, what is seen, should be consistent with the style of the rest of the room. There are many materials and designs, it all depends on personal taste and budget. There are plain or patterned doors, in colors, iron and glass doors, with paper or fabric fronts, with mirror panels that give more light and expand space, doors recovered from the home itself, lacquered glass to taste...

The smoother it is, the greater the sensation of spaciousness achieved because the closet doors will be less of a visual protagonist.

The interior of the cabinets is usually made of wood veneer or melanin and there are several options; it can also be painted, made of fabric or paper. Very important is to take care of the inside of the closet when it is without doors.

e are the hinges, guides and opening systems since they will make the cabinet have a long life and withstand each opening and closing well.

The normal thing is for a closet to be about 60 cm deep, at least 50 cm where a hanger fits perfectly. Wardrobes with sliding doors have a little more depth and the folding doors do not take up space inside the wardrobe.

As for length, a wardrobe for one person must be at least 1 m wide. But it all depends on the space available and the amount of clothes to be stored since there will be people who cannot store everything they have in 1 meter of width. The ideal is to take advantage of the maximum width that the available space allows. And as for the height, depending on the height of the ceiling, it can be made all the way up or leave a gap, although we think that when a custom closet is made it is preferable to take it up to the ceiling to take advantage of those centimeters for storage and storage.
